The Ludlow Foundries Straight UPVC Door Handle on Backplate Black Antique has a wonderful traditional style handle for exterior double doors with an antique black finish.  These handles are often used on conservatories, patio doors, front doors & French windows. This type of door handle has a euro profile keyhole & operates a multipoint lock (not included with this product). Cast Iron Handle This pull handle is made from cast iron & has a black antique finish.  The most up to date production processes are used to produce this timeless, beautifully crafted door handle which looks wonderful in old country cottages or period homes.  Cast iron is susceptible to rusting &, when used externally should be regularly cleaned of dirty deposits & coated with beeswax.  This will give it some protection, but this must be maintained consistently to keep the handle in good condition.  Some say that some minor rusting of the product adds to the authentic antique look.  This finish is not suitable for use in coastal areas or particularly exposed situations where wind & rain will corrode it very quickly. Lock Centres This handle has 92mm lock centres & 123.5mm fixing centres. The most common lock centres measurement (distance between the centre of the lever & the centre of the round part of the keyhole) is 92mm. However, many of these door handles (particularly if they are several years old) have different centres, so be sure to check carefully before making a purchase.
