Developed by an avid backcountry skier and inventor who worked alongside DuPont, Zardoz is not a wax but a 100% liquid fluoropolymer that can be easily applied to the base of your skis or snowboard. Simply squirt a few drops on to the fabric applicator then rub it onto your base for increased speed and better gliding in all conditions. There is no need to wait for it to dry and the entire process can be done in under a minute. Zardoz can be used on waxed, dry and even wet bases and is non-toxic, non-flammable, colour and odour-free. The puck sits comfortably in a pocket and will provide upwards of 15 applications, with each one giving a day or more of added performance. For the best results and maximum speed/slide, why not try the ‘Felix process'. On a clean base before waxing, liberally apply Zardoz and leave to soak in a warm place overnight. The next day apply a coat of hot wax as usual and allow it to dry properly before scraping and buffing the surface. For warm snow conditions such as springtime apply a topcoat of Zardoz, but in cold conditions leave as it is. This method helps boost your normal waxing routine for faster speeds and better performance over a longer period. Top-up with a coat of Zardoz each day or as needed.
Diamond Files are used to get the best edge tune possible and a must-have for racers and enthusiastic technicians. Used after an edge has been prepared with a standard file or grinder they come in different grades which are ‘worked through' until the perfect finish is achieved. Coarse will remove major burrs left after an edge has been ground. Medium is the next step and will smooth the edge further, then a fine diamond file will polish the edge for the best end result. Diamond files are usually used in a guide to provide precise edge angles.
The guide is the ideal tool for bevelling the base edge of your skis allowing adjustment in angles from 0.5° to 1.5°. Made from metal the guide can take any file between 20-25mm wide and up to 6mm thick. It is a must-have tool for the enthusiast technician looking to tune their edges.
From tuning and filing edges, to scraping, repairing, waxing, and polishing bases, this is the pefrect kit to keep your skis in peak shredding condition.
FX Strips are used for repairing small gauges in the base of skis caused by small rocks, tree branches and other hazards you are likely to come across. Simply light the plastic strips then drip the material onto the damaged area until it’s covered. Once cooled work the area with a steel scraper to smooth the base removing excess material. For the best visual finish use clear FX strips on a clear or coloured base. For small base repairs Contains 5 strips Colour: Clear

Probably one of the first items anyone adds to their home servicing kit, a plastic scraper is generally used for removing excess wax after the hot-waxing process. The 5mm plastic is thick enough and stiff enough for scraping the base and the notched edge can be used to remove any wax from the edges.
Perfect for racers and those who take servicing seriously, the file is professional-grade and designed for fine and precise tuning of the edge. It can be used on its own, or more often with a file guide (sold separately), for both base and side edges. Measures 200mm length and 20mm wide with 15 teeth/cm.
A Horsehair Brush is used for clearing excess wax off a base once scraped and clears the structure of the ski to allow more speed and better gliding performance. It can also be used for applying finishing products. Handle is made from wood.
The Smartwaxer is the perfect iron for those who do their own home servicing. A simple and precise dial controls the temperature with a range from 50° to 160 °C, and a light indicates when it is ready to use. The thick metal plate provides constant heat distribution and patterned grooves help spread wax out evenly across your skis/snowboard. A heat resistant stand is provided for resting the iron on and it comes fitted with a continental plug and a UK adaptor in the box.

A Nylon Brush is usually used alongside wax remover for deep cleaning of the structure of a ski's base; this allows old wax and dirt to be removed before a new hot wax is applied. A nylon brush can also be used for finishing bases enabling any excess wax left after scraping to be brushed off. Handle is made from wood.
Holmenkol's Combi Edger is a versatile and simple to use tool for grinding both the base and side edges. The guide enables the file to be moved into different positions allowing the base angle to be adjusted from 0.5° to 1.0° and the side edge from 89° to 85°. The high-quality 80mm file can be swapped out and replaced with a diamond file for more precise tuning if necessary (sold separately).
This waxing iron is a must for racers and avid skiers who take the servicing of their equipment seriously. The temperature can be set for different wax types simply and precisely using the control dial, an LED light indicates when it is ready to use. A microprocessor in the iron and extra-thick metal base further helps to keep the temperature even and stable for exact application of specific grade waxes. The cork handle provides optimum comfort during long waxing sessions before race day. Uses a continental plug and comes with a UK adaptor in the box.
The Edge Trick is a simple yet extremely handy pocket-sized tool suitable for removing burrs or light corrosion that has built up on your edges. Burred edges can cause a ski to feel twitchy and grabby especially on hard-packed snow; the tool has an oxide stone which when run down the side edge will remove any hanging burrs and give a smoother finish. The angle that the stone grinds can be adjusted in 0.5° increments between 85° and 90°.
A Grinding Rubber is used for de-tuning overly sharp tips and tails to stop them ‘grabbing' or ‘catching'. It's also useful for removing small burrs and light surface corrosion that can occur during storage; a simple yet useful bit of kit, well worth popping in your bag before a trip to the mountains.
