Completely new version of the classic Reverso which is slick and easy to use in either belay or rappel mode. Deep grooves and wide slots allow a range of rope diameters to be used making this an extremely versatile device. As with the Reverso, it can be used in guide mode when belaying 2 seconding climbers simultaneously.
A semi-automatic belay device which allows the belayer to pay out rope quickly and evenly. Braking resistance can be adjusted according to rope size or climbing style. The green button allows rope to be given out faster or increases braking resistance as required. Ideal for working routes, top roping and belaying a heavier climber.
At last, the new Grigri is here! The premier assisted braking device is improved in every area. Redesigned geometry allows the safe use of single ropes from 8.9 - 11mm, with a smoother action when belaying a leader, top-roping or abseiling. It is extremely compact and weighs in at just 185g. The Grigri is not a substitute for belaying vigilance!
A unique new belay device for single ropes (8.9 - 10.5mm), the Jul is ideal for sport or indoor climbing. It combines a stainless steel body for control and abrasion resistance, with a synthetic cover to prevent that annoying jangling of belay plate on karabiner and add heat resistance. Beautifully simple.
Re-worked from the very successful VC Pro, its successor has been designed with deeper grooves and wider slots to extend its range of uses and handle single ropes from 9mm upwards, and double ropes from 7.7mm. Complete with Synergy HMS screwgate biner.
A pulley with self-lubricating bushings and a rope clamp/grab "all in one". A new concept in pulleys with an anti-return feature. The Mini Traxion can be used for sack-hauling, but it can also be used for the attatchment of a person. Great for setting up hauling systems, for back-up belaying and for moving along a tyrolean traverse, where the cam operates as an anti-return device. Weight 165g
This lightweight, compact and multi-purpose ascender that is ideal for hauling, ascending fixed lines and as self-protection when climbing with a fixed rope. 2009 improvements include new chrome-plated cam and trigger recess in frame preventing operating problems when ascending lower angled sections.
A semi automated belay device. To belay, feed the rope smoothly through the device. If the leader falls, the sudden pull makes the cam pivot, locking against the rope. For lowering, operate the handle to unjam the rope and control the running of the free end of the rope. The Gri Gri is not a substitute for vigilance on the part of the belayer, who must remain attentive to the climber at all times.
The classic Air Traffic Controller is a minimalist design that really works. With smooth handling, large radius curves and a heat-dissipating surface area, this is both lightweight and effective when belaying and rappelling with single or double ropes.
Up-dated for 2009 this benchmark ascender features several new improvements: Ergonomically shaped molder rubber grip provides greater comfort and pull-efficiency; mono-framed construction for greater durability; trigger recessed in frame and the chrome-plated cam is even more efficient when sliding along the rope. For easy ID the left handed is now black with an orange grip and the right handed is grey with orange grip.
