Juneberries are a full of flavour, fruit for your garden & we think it will be as popular as our launch of the honeyberry! Juneberry Smokey is a from North America where the fruits are grown on pick your own farms & is known as a Saskatoon.

The fruits from Smoky have a taste, size, shape & colour similar to blueberries although it is related to the apple! Once a staple food of North American Indians, the self-fertile plants will grow on most soils & will fruit in July. When established expect a massive 4.5kg of fruit per bush (up to 2.5m in height if unchecked!).

Will spread by suckering, so also good for hedging. Pretty flowers too are a bonus, & the shrub is also grown as an ornamental bush (Amelanchier alnifolia).
