The FLUX is a compact & realistic interactive direct drive & is maintenance-free. The swift response of the Smart electronics & the 7kg flywheel transmits the slightest fluctuations in resistance directly & accurately to your legs. Of all the Tacx trainers, the FLUX has the heaviest actual flywheel with an effect of 23kg. The greater the flywheel effect, the more realistic the cycling experience. It uses ANT+ & Bluetooth® Smart for communication & can therefore be connected wirelessly to smartphones & tablets. The ANT+ FE-C protocol enables you to train with Tacx apps as well as third-party apps such as Zwift & Trainer Road. You can also train st&-alone; if you do not connect the FLUX, it will simulate a flat road. Electro brake The FLUX Smart works with an electro brake. By placing magnets & electro magnets beside a rotating aluminium disc, eddy currents are created which generate an opposing magnetic field. In this way a non-contact, maintenance-free brake is realized that is also silent. Thanks to the electro brake a resistance can be set that you also experience on the road or in a climb. Virtual speed When you are cycling in a virtual terrain or in a film you can get outside the range for which the brake is intended. To allow cyclists with a motor brake & cyclists with an electro brake to ride races against each other in Multiplayer, Tacx has developed the virtual speed. This concept translatesthe energy supplied into a certain speed, which can guarantee a fair contest. If this speed differs from the speed at which the rear wheel is running, the virtual speed will be shown on the screen in red. The FLUX has an universal EDCO Multisys body that fits all Shimano & SRAM cassettes, & most Campagnolo cassettes. Whether it fits depends on the amount of cutouts inside the cassette. Campagnolo ca
