Oracle: Entitlements Server 10g R3: Develop Secure Applications

This course introduces Oracle Entitlements server & how it is used to secure applications & resources. The course covers the fundamentals of policy modeling from the perspective of a developer needing to secure various resources. This course differs from traditional policy modeling courses in that it describes the mechanics of policy management but not the methodology. The intent is to make a developer (who consumes existing policy) capable of securing existing resources such as pages, web services, EJBs, web services, etc.

• Understand & describe the Entitlements problem, including core security concepts & technology
• Understand & describe the architecture of Oracle Entitlements Server, including core components & their deployment
• Install & configure OES 10g R3, including both administrator & security modules
• Develop & simulate security policy
• Extend OES using custom developed attribute retrievers & evaluator functions
• Secure Web Application Servers, including Web Logic Server instances
