A tuned exoskeleton of highly durable waterproof suede & direct injected TPU engineered over open, high abrasion air mesh creates lightweight uppers that maximise the Gore-Tex moisture vapour transfer rate, keeping your feet cool & dry in all climates. Berghaus external heel mounted EHS (Enhanced Holding System) is injected with tough, hard wearing TPU & is integrated with the lacing system to securely hold the foot back & down into the heel pocket created by their new performance last, reducing friction & the chance of heel blisters while enhancing forward impedance on the downhill. Underfoot, a 100% recycled Eco Ortho Lite sock liner lined with ETC low friction mesh provides soft, blister-free, shock-attenuating PU foam comfort to allow you to go the distance. All this is built on the all-new Exterra sole unit. The polyurethane midsole provides hard wearing, long-lasting underfoot comfort that is virtually impervious to compression, which means consistent underfoot comfort for the life of the boots. The unique heel girders are engineered to provide lateral stability to prevent rollout on uneven surfaces. The all-new Opti-Stud hiking outsole uses Berghauss patented tri-lobal, omnidirectional lug design engineered in combination with a mud shedding hiking perimeter which, combined with their Alpha rubber compound, provides superior trail traction.
