G1 is a very light ice axe for classical alpinism whicm despite the low weight, still has all the characteristics of a Grivel ice axe: a 7075 Ergal aluminium shaft with a rubber grip, a hot forged one piece head providing maximum strength, & a classical neutral pick with ergonomic design that remains comfortable after hours & hours of climbing.
