Product Description

Set of 6 luxury Placemats is part of the V & A Museum Chinoiserie range would make an ideal gift for someone to either start or add to their collection. The Brompton Rose design is taken from the textile & wallpaper archives of the V & A Museum. It is from wallpaper manufactured by Jeffrey & Co & dated 1874. Each mat has a gold edging & black velvet backing. Each of the Victoria & Albert Museum items has been interpreted using original material to create strong commerical surface patterns taken from the archives of the Victoria & Albert Museum. Inspiration has been drawn from various sources including traditional William Morris wallpapers, exotic far eastern silks & various rare & distinctive artefacts.
