This device provides reliable warning of even the smallest amounts of toxic gases. It can detect natural and bottled gas, such as methane, propane, butane and natural gas. The device is suitable for wall or ceiling mounting and has two LEDs (function and alarm).
Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colourless, odourless and tasteless gas; it is toxic and can quickly prove fatal. CO is generated by incomplete combustion processes which can be caused by, for example, a defective boiler or clogged chimney. The battery-operated stabo CO alarm II detects carbon monoxide even at low concentration levels and then provides a warning with both audible (85 dB/3m) as well as visual (red flashing LED) alerts and the measured value of CO is indicated (in ppm) on the LCD display. The device also has a memory function with maximum level indicator; the CO concentration recorded when you are away can be read later at the touch of a button. An alarm accidentally triggered by a draught or solvent vapours can be temporarily turned off via the mute button. The test button allows you to regularly check that the detector and alarm are still in working order. In the event of defective battery voltage, an acoustic signal gives a warning. The installation of multiple devices is recommended for optimal protection, depending on living area and the number of potential hazards.
