When the available space does not permit installation of the Main Unit I, the perfect solution is the Main Unit I "M". Because the mini-unit has the same performance characteristics, all applications which run on the C-Control/BASIC Unit can also be transferred to the Main Unit I "M". Solely the LEDs, buttons, interface IC and pull-up resistances are not provided, for reasons of space. However, besides offering a further frequency measurement input, the Main Unit I "M" also has an in-circuit programmable interface with CMOS/TTL compatible levels. For connection to the PC serial interface, for level matching you will also need an external level converter or the C-Control/BASIC M adapter which is offered as an option (order no. 95 06 02). Special feature: After a power failure, your application program will be automatically re-booted by the integral reset device.
The Application Board I is the hardware basis for the applications of the Main Unit I. In order to be able to cover the greatest number of applications, we have provided the Application Board I with many useful hardware components and connection facilities. As well as the micro beeper for tone output, a membrane keyboard with 12 keys (occupies an analog port) and a 2 x 16 dot matrix LCD display are included. In addition to the 8 analog and 8 digital interfaces, the Application Board I also offers a serial interface. This makes the Application Board ideal for data logging with remote transmission. Here you can either transfer the data direct to your PC or on to another Application Board.
The Main Unit I is the ideal solution to many individual switching and control tasks. The unit is based on a MC 68HC05B6 microcontroller with 8 A/D converter inputs. The 16 digital connections are programmable and can be used as inputs or outputs. For analog signals you are provided with 8 inputs and 2 pulse width modulated outputs. The 8 kB EEPROM memory holds the user program which you have written and can also record results or measurements. 256 bytes are also available for you to use for assembly code. The 9 pin serial interface connects the Main Unit I with your PC. As programming software you may choose between the Plus version which provides a graphical solution or the Basic version which provides line text. The saved data remains available even after a power failure because of the use of EEPROM storage. If you want to use your Main Unit I to switch, adjust or control accurately to the second, simply connect an external DCF-77 antenna. Two buttons are provided on the circuit board and these enable you to start the program or reset the system. And for energy saving stand-alone operation, you may use jumpers to separate the interface components and the LEDs from the operating voltage.
The C-control I unit M Advanced is 100% compatible to the C-control I unit M 2.0. It is however additionally equipped with 32 bits floating point Arithmetic module in the operating system In addition it possesses a larger BASIC program memory of 22 KB as well as a larger variable memory of 240 bytes. This makes possible the application in a simple way, with comfortable and professional computations with floating-point arithmetic application of the new programming environment Workbench++ contained in the scope of supply That program download on the unit M Advanced can be optionally quickened in relation to the unit M 2.0
The Application Board 2.0 is the new hardware development and programming environment for the C-Control I Unit-M 2.0. Its purpose is to accept the Unit and those expansion boards that are contained in the accessories set, as well as the DCF receiver board. It is the ideal device to help you quickly reach a system solution with the minimum amount of work. Ideal for schools, university departments, hobby users and experienced electronics engineers. All the necessary connections of the Unit-M 2.0 are lead out on a bus line with four 40-pin socket strips. The expansion boards can simply be plugged into these. All connections are clearly labelled.
This control unit belongs to the new C-Control I 2.0 generation. It is fully programmable using BASIC and offers practically unlimited possibilities in instrumentation and control technology. The experienced PC user will soon master the flexible software, thanks to the numerous examples, embedded libraries and ready-to-use modules. This future-proof system means you are best equipped for all new requirements.
