LOCATION The cottage is in Croft Road, a short, narrow cul-de-sac just off Shadycombe Road, & just 5-7 minutes walk into Salcombe. The famous harbour & estuary, popular with sailors & other watersports enthusiasts, is very close by, whilst the beautiful beaches of East Portlemouth & Millbay can be accessed via a small passenger ferry that runs from the town all year round. VIEWS From the master bedroom & larger twin bedroom there are good views across Gould Road & Island Street towards Batson Creek & Snapes Point beyond. ENTRANCE From Croft Road steps lead up to the entrance & into the ground floor lobby. All the living accommodation is on the ground floor with bedrooms & bathrooms on the two higher levels. SITTING ROOM To the front of the property is a cosy & very comfortably furnished sitting room with two double sofas, bean bag, window box seat, TV with Freesat, feature fireplace with wood-burning stove. KITCHEN/DINING ROOM A deceptively spacious, open-plan kitchen & dining area has newly fitted wall & floor units with attractive worktop, four-ring gas hob & electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine & tumble dryer. A door from the kitchen leads out to the raised terrace at the back of the cottage. A wooden dining table has bench seating & chairs for at least six guests. There is a CLOAKROOM off the kitchen with w.c. & wash-hand basin. BEDROOMS Three in total. The en suite master bedroom (on the top floor) has a King-size bed, small bedside tables, TV with Freesat & DVD player walk-in area with drawers & hanging rail, & pleasant views across towards Batson Creek. The newly fitted en suite has a shower, wash-hand basin, w.c., heated towel rail & shaver point. On the first floor a good sized twin bedroom has two wooden-framed single beds, bedside tables, drawers & fitted wardrobes. In addition, a smaller twin room at this level has two 2'6 single beds, bedside unit & fitted wardrobe. N.B. All duvets, pillows, bed linen & towels (excluding beach towels) are supplied. BATH/SHOWER ROOMS In addition to the en suite (above) is a family bathroom with whirlpool bath on the first floor with corner shower unit, bath, wash-hand basin, w.c., heated towel rail & shaver point. OUTSIDE To the rear of the property steps lead up from the kitchen to a raised terrace with table & chairs. Barbecue available. PARKING Off-road parking directly outside the cottage for one small/medium sized car only (approx. 4m x 1.8m). Additional/alternative parking is usually available in the nearby long-stay car park (please check daily/weekly costs with the office prior to booking).
