LOCATION The cottage is set in lovely rural surroundings close to the villages of Galmpton, Hope Cove & Malborough. The sea is just over one mile away with beautiful beaches at Hope Cove & Thurlestone Sands where there are also wonderful cliff walks. The scenic harbour & estuary of Salcombe with its miles of sheltered water is within a pleasant four mile drive. ENTRANCE/DINING HALL The entrance lobby leads into a slate tiled dining hall with table & eight chairs, stone fireplace & staircase rising to first floor. Exposed painted ceiling beams. DRAWING ROOM A bright room with South facing window & French doors opening to cobbled front garden & giving pleasant views across fields towards Malborough village. Two comfortable sofas, widescreen LCD TV, DVD player, raised marble fireplace & exposed painted ceiling beams. SITTING ROOM With wide South facing bay window the full length of one wall with window seat & views across the valley to fields. One large sofa & two armchairs, table, TV & DVD player stone fireplace with timber mantle, open grate & slate hearth (not for tenants' use). Exposed painted ceiling beams & slate-tiled floor. KITCHEN/BREAKFAST ROOM An attractive room with wide range of base cupboards & drawers with hardwood work surfaces & Belfast sink, electric hob, oven, dishwasher, microwave & fridge/freezer. Fireplace recess housing oil fired Aga cooker with tiled surround & granite work surface to one side. Bench exposed seating with cupboards beneath. BEDROOMS Four in total. On the ground floor (adjacent to the Drawing Room) is a large bedroom with a double bed, wardrobe, drawers & en suite shower room with shower cubicle, wash hand basin & w.c. On the first floor are three further bedroom one has a  four-poster double bed, one is a twin bedroom with with  a small en suite with shower cubicle, wash hand basin & w.c. The fourth bedroom has a set of bunk beds & a single bed. N.B. All duvets, pillows, bed linen & towels (excluding those for the beach) are provided. BATHROOMS In addition to the two en suite shower rooms is a family bathroom on the first floor with roll-top bath, wash hand basin, w.c. & heated towel rail & a cloakroom on the ground floor. BABY FRIENDLY FACILITIES A travel cot & booster seat/ high chair are available. OUTSIDE Above & to the rear is a slate paved terrace with wrought iron handrail, a perfect spot for sunbathing, barbeques etc. At the back of the terrace there is a delightful thatched summerhouse, hot tub & gas barbeque. The gardens back onto fields & are well established with lawned areas, shrubs, trees & plants. The pretty front garden, enclosed by stone walls, is partly cobbled & partly stone paved.
