LOCATION The cottage is in Shadycombe Road, just 5-7 minutes walk into Salcombe. The famous harbour & estuary, popular with sailors & other watersports enthusiasts, is very close by, whilst the beautiful beaches of East Portlemouth & Millbay can be accessed via a small passenger ferry that runs from the town all year round. VIEWS From the second floor bedroom there is a good view across Gould Road & Island Street towards Batson Creek & Snapes Point beyond. ENTRANCE From Shadycombe Road the front entrance leads directly into the sitting room. There is further access to the rear (via the courtyard) up a few steps into the kitchen SITTING AREA To the front of the cottage is a cosy, & very comfortably furnished sitting room with lovely painted wooden floorboards, two small sofas, armchair, TV/DVD player & feature gas fire. The room opens out into the KITCHEN/DINING AREA with newly fitted units, small attractive worktop, Belfast sink, four-ring electric hob & oven, microwave & fridge. A door from the kitchen leads out to the UTILITY ROOM (down & below the cottage) with washing machine & tumble dryer.  A wooden dining table has bench seating & chairs for up to six guests. BEDROOMS On the first floor (up relatively narrow steep winding stairs with a fitted hand rail) is the main double bedroom with metal-framed King-size bed, small bedside tables, wardrobe & drawers. On the second floor (built into the eaves) is a delightful second bedroom with double bed, bedside units & drawers.  N.B. All duvets, pillows, bed linen & towels (excluding beach towels) are supplied. BATH/SHOWER ROOM  On the first floor is a newly refurbished family bathroom with bath, shower (over), wash-hand basin, w.c., & heated towel rail. OUTSIDE To the rear of the cottage is a small, courtyard garden with mature shrubs & trees – a narrow stone path leads to a small decked terrace with bistro table, bench & two chairs. PARKING Available at additional cost in the nearby long-stay car park (please check daily/weekly costs with the office prior to booking). OTHER INFORMATION Attractive painted wooden floorboards throughout.  Gas fired central heating & hot water. Wireless broadband internet is available. Strictly no smoking or pets permitted.  (N.B. For reasons of comfort the accommodation is not recommended for more than three adults in any one party).
