Product Description

LOCATION  The cottage is in Above Town, a narrow lane (6' width restriction & steep access road) that runs above & parallel to the River Dart. Dartmouth's boutiques, restaurants & tea rooms, as well as the river itself are just 5-10 minutes walk away.  Blackpool Sands beach is a 5-10 minute drive whilst Woodlands Theme Park is just 3 miles outside of Dartmouth. The Coast Path is 10 minutes away or you can enjoy a quick stroll to Warfleet Creek. The Start Bay coastline can also be reached quickly & easily by car with Blackpool Sands beach just 4 miles away. VIEWS stunning views from the top deck of the garden out to sea & across the River Dart. Good views over neighbouring rooftops across the River Dart to Kingswear & beyond from the lounge. ENTRANCE A flight of steps leads up from Above Town to a row of terraced cottages. The nautical front door to Dart Views leads into a hallway off which are two bedrooms & two bathrooms, & stairs to the living accommodation on the first floor. BEDROOMS Two, both on the ground floor. The master bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe, drawers & chair. The second bedroom has two 3ft beds & a chest of drawers. All duvets, pillows, bed linen & towels (excluding those for the beach) are provided. BATH/SHOWER ROOMS The family bathroom on the ground floor is newly renovated. It has a bath, hair shower (over), w.c. & wash hand basin. This room also houses a washer dryer. The shower room (adjacent to master bedroom) has a fully-tiled shower cubicle, wash hand basin & w.c. KITCHEN/SITTING/DINING ROOM On the first floor is a bright & sunny room with a high vaulted ceiling & a large picture window to take in the views & double doors out to decking at the rear. The kitchen has free-standing modern units with beech & stainless steel work surfaces, four-ring gas hob, electric oven, tall fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave & two mobile 'butchers' blocks. The lounge area has a double sofa, two leather chairs, colour TV, DVD player & CD player with iPod docking unit, modern dining table & 4 chairs. It also has a newly installed log burning stove for winter nights. OUTSIDE Immediately outside the kitchen door is an enclosed private patio with night lighting & retractable washing line. At the very top of the garden there is a modern deck with table, four chairs, two sun loungers & magnificent views across the River Dart & out to sea. The garden at Dart Views has been designed & landscaped by Artscape Design & Build, & has been named a winner at the Association of Professional Landscapers (APL) Awards 2013. DOG FRIENDLY Dart Views welcomes one large or two small dogs. There are excellent walking routes straight from the house. Dog treats, bowls & emergency lead are all provided. PARKING* A seasonal parking pass, for one car, is provided for the Mayors Avenue public car park (subject to availability)/ Dartmouth Park & Ride from 1st April 2017 for 6 months until 31st October 2017. OTHER INFORMATION The house has pine wooden flooring throughout & gas fired central heating & hot water. Free shared wireless broadband internet available. The property is strictly non-smoking.
