Voltarol Emulgel PVoltarol Emulgel P contains Diclofenac diethylammonium & is used to relieve pain & to reduce inflammation & swelling in the muscles & joints. Whether it is a sprain or an ache in the neck, Voltarol Emulgel P can provide effective relief from pain & inflammation. Voltarol Emulgel P can also be used in mild arthritic conditions. How Does Emulgel P Work? The Emulgel technology helps the gel to penetrate to, & act at the point of, pain. The gel is odourless & non greasy & is easy to rub into the skin. Directions Adults & children 12 years & over: Use an amount the size of a one penny or two penny piece & rub gently into the skin over the affected area. Apply 3-4 times a day. Do not use for more than 14 days unless longer treatment is recommended by a doctor. Do not use more than 100g of Voltarol Emugel P in one week. The gel can be applied to a maximum of 2 joints (such as your knees & elbows). If you need to apply the gel to more than 2 joints, consult your doctor. Wash hands after use (unless they are the site being treated). Do not use on children under 12 years of age. Ingredients The active ingredient is diclofenac diethylammonium (1.16% w/w). The other ingredients are diethylamine, carbomer, macrogol cetostearyl ether, cocoyl caprylocaprate, isopropyl alcohol, liquid paraffin, perfume, propylene glycol, purified water. Warnings If symptoms do not improve in 7 days, or they get worse, consult your doctor. Do not use if you are allergic to, or ever had an asthma attack, wheezing, urticaria (hives), or a runny nose after taking aspirin or any other NSAID pain/anti-inflammatory medicine, or if you are sensitive to diclofenac or any other ingredient of the gel. Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use if you are taking diclofenac or other NSAID tablets. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using if you suffer from asthma, have ever had a stomach or duodenal ulcer, or are taking prescibed medications. Do not apply to cuts, wounds, sunburned skin or other area where the skin ins abnormal, or near the eyes or nasal area. Do not cover with bandage or plaster.
