Salicylic Acid Ointment 450g Salicylic Acid Ointment helps the layers of skin to peel & shed where it is applied. How to use the medicine Apply to the skin. Avoid contact with broken or inflamed skin. Avoid applying other medicines to the same area of skin at the same time. Adults, the elderly & children: Unless otherwise directed by the doctor apply to the affected area twice a day.FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY. If you accidentally swallow some see a doctor straight away. Ingredients Active ingredients: salicylic acid 2% w/w. Also contains: wool alcohols, hard paraffin, liquid paraffin, & white petroleum jelly. Do not use the medicine if you or your child have... An allergy to any of the ingredients listed especially salicylates. Pregnant or breastfeeding Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine if you are pregnant, might be pregnant or are breastfeeding. Salicylic Acid Ointment should not be used in pregnancy or breastfeeding unless the doctor has told you to do so. Possible side effects May cause allergic reactions: Dry skin, Skin irritation. Application to large areas of skin or to the skin of newborn infants may cause Dizziness; Deafness; Hearing disturbance. If you notice these or any other side effects, stop use & tell your doctor or pharmacist.
