Program 67.8mg Tablets for Small Dogs Program Tablets are for the prevention & control of flea infestations in dogs. Program 67.8mg Tablets for Small Dogs are suitable for all dogs between 2.3kg & 6.7kg in weight, including pregnant dogs & puppies taking solid food. Dogs between 6.7kg & 20kg should be given Program 204.9mg Tablets for Medium Dogs & those between 20kg & 40g should be given Program 409.8mg Tablets for Large Dogs. Dogs weighing over 40kg should be treated with a combination of tablets, depending on the exact bodyweight; see your veterinary surgeon for the correct dosage. Program Tablets contain Lufenuron, an insect development inhibitor (IDI). Female fleas feeding on treated animals will produce eggs out of which no larvae will hatch. The interruption of the flea life cycle results in a long-term, very effective flea control on the animal as well as in the environment. Program Tablets come in packs of 6, i.e. a 6 month supply. Directions Give one Program Tablet monthly with a meal. You can give it with a small quantity of food before the rest of the meal is given, or immediately after feeding. If dogs have a high level of flea infestation at the start of the treatment, it may be necessary to administer a flea adulticide such as Frontline Spot On during the first few months. In cases of severe hypersensitivity, further use of an adulticide may be needed. Program Tablets are best used for flea prevention. When used this way, treatment should start in spring before the beginning of the flea season, & repeated monthly throughout the flea season & can be given year round. All cats & dogs in a household must be treated in order to prevent the build up of developing fleas in the environment, thus establishing an infestation. For cats, use Program Oral Suspension.
