Product Description

Sony 70-200mm f 2.8 GM OSS Lens Quick facts: An F2.8 telephoto zoom like no other: The most advanced technology available has been applied in the G Master series, further refining acclaimed Sony G Lens performance. This model combines refined G Lens bokeh with new levels of resolution in an outstanding constant F2.8 telephoto zoom that offers unsurpassed rendering, blazing AF, & extraordinary image stabilization performance. Extraordinary detail & bokeh in one lens: Specifically designed to resolve spatial frequencies with excellent contrast, this lens

Includes::
three aspherical elements, including one double-sided & one newly developed XA (extreme aspherical) element with 0.01 micron surface precision, to effectively control aberration for astonishing resolution plus glorious bokeh. Natural images without spurious

Colour:
Chromatic aberration that can be a problem in telephoto lenses is thoroughly suppressed by the use of four ED (Extra-low-Dispersion) glass elements & two Super ED glass elements. Colour bleeding is banished so the subject can be captured with maximum sharpness. Further refinements for spot-on movie AF: The focusing system’s double linear motor takes on the vital role of providing “wobbling” actuation for the AF contrast detection system when shooting video. An optical design that effectively minimizes focus breathing plus quiet mechanical operation further adds to focusing performance that is ideal for movies as well as stills. Overview: The new FE 70-200mm F2.8 GM OSS lens features a floating focusing system – implemented in an a zoom lens for the first time – that contributes to an impressive minimum focusing distance of merely 0.96m & ensures AF performance is optimised during both still & video shooting. The lens

Includes::
a SSM (Super Sonic Motor) plus dual linear motors that work together to move large lens elements quickly – a task that requires a high level of drive control & ensures focus accuracy. The new model also has built in Optical Steady Shot™ image stabilisation for capturing sharp, blur-free subjects at all focal lengths & a rotating tripod mount that allows the camera to be quickly removed from a connected tripod as needed. The new 70-200mm telephoto zoom lens is dust & moisture resistant with an additional fluorine coating added to the front lens. It also has a focus hold button as well as a focal range limiter.
