Every person is different in height and build, and when it comes down to something as critical as a professional video rig, everyone has their own preferences for comfort and support. The handles are where the ergonomics and positioning flexibility of SYMPLA really come into play: mounted on ball joints (inspired by Manfrotto’s professional photographic heads), they can quickly be set wider, closer, vertically, horizontally or at any intermediate angle, rotated 360°... even upside-down – in whatever position you find most stable and most comfortable. SYMPLA Adjustable Handles are fitted on a Universal Mount by two flyout arms that can be angled independently to bring the handles closer together or set them farther apart. The handles pivot on ball joints for easier adjustment: a twist of the single locking dial on each handle loosens or blocks all movement, allowing them to be rotated freely and quickly set at the exact position and angle required. The handles can be set in customary vertical or near-vertical positions, but also horizontally like motorbike handlebars. When a SYMPLA rig is mounted on a video head, the handles can be used as double pan bars. SYMPLA Adjustable Handles can be inverted and used upside down if more comfortable and convenient for the particular rig set-up. The PVC-free Adjustable Handles are supplied with two metal spacers that can be fitted between the handle and ball joint to lengthen the arms. The same spacers also adapt the handles for use with Manfrotto’s clamp and joystick remote control units: use a single spacer at the top of both arms if using the Clamp-On HDSLR Remote Control; if using the Deluxe HDSLR Remote Control in place of one of the Adjustable Handles, both spacers should be fitted at the top of remaining handle to make it the same length. Load capacity: 5kg Weight: 0.9kg
Aluminum spacer that moves the counterweight further back which effectively decreases the weight in front of the shoulder. It provides more balanced to the rig making shooting easier and more stable.
Chrosziel DV Studio Rig with follow focus control for one-side-operation. Includes: handwheel, scale (205-02) and focus drive (206-12) mod 0.8, Ø 36, 8mm, 44 teeth.
When using SYMPLA as a shoulder-mounted rig, using counterweights at the back of the rig, securely attached to the shoulder support pad, can aid balance and stability by putting the centre of the overall rig and equipment weight in line with your body's centre of gravity. The counterweight screws securely on to the SYMPLA Shoulder Pad via a 3/8” thread. Counterweights can also be stacked to offset very unbalanced loads.
SYMPLA's Camera Body Support and Lens Support help create a more stable, vibration-free platform for shooting. Filming with long telephoto lenses on HDSLR cameras or camcorders means using the lens L-bracket as the connection between camera and rig, which creates a less than ideal weight distribution and means that the slightest movement or touch of the camera or lens (such as pressing ''''Rec'''', or focusing the lens) produces visible camera shake and vibration that has to be edited or removed in post-production. The body and lens supports are vertically adjustable to rest firmly against the camera body and lens to damp and eliminate vibration, and to make your whole rig more stable and secure. both supports are rubber-coated to protect camera equipment. The SYMPLA Body Support has a flat rubber-coated bar that can be raised until it rests solidly against the underside of your camera body in order to stop it from vibrating when the lens L-bracket is being used to connect the camera to SYMPLA. A repositionable ratchet locking lever blocks height adjustment. To cover greater height ranges, an additional SYMPLA V-Offset can be used with the Body Support.
The multi-purpose Universal Mount is a self-hanging clamp that slides along SYMPLA rails and locks in position with a single locking lever. The Universal Mount is the basic structural element for numerous SYMPLA components (the Flexible Mattebox, Shoulder Pad, V-Offset, Body and Lens Supports and Adjustable handles all attach to SYMPLA Rods via Universal Mounts) and it can also support external accessories. This makes SYMPLA an easy and intuitive system to use and adjust, because once you know how to adjust a universal Mount, you can adjust all the components built around it too. It has an ''''open hook'''' design, which allows it to be inserted and hung on the SYMPLA rails from below, with one hand, even between other elements that have already been positioned. Because it's self supporting even when unlocked, it stays safely attached to the rails at all times. A single, repositionable locking lever conveniently blocks the Universal Mount solidly against both rails with one movement. The Universal Mount is extremely versatile, thanks to its industry standard 4 x 3/8” female threads and 2 x 1/4” female threads, which can be used to attach arms, adaptors and other components and accessories to a SYMPLA rig.

Manfrotto Sympla Shoulder Mounted Rig Sympla Shoulder Support Kit is a “ready to go” solution that includes all the necessary pieces inside one box, even the counterbalance weight. The Shoulder Mounted Rig is one of Sympla kits and allows support of camera equipment on your shoulder, with swivel-joint handles for perfect control and flexibility. This rig is ideal for use with HDSLRs and interchangeable lens camcorders, featuring fast camera connection thanks to the sliding plate with quick release. The Variable Plate is one of the most important component of the rig. This element permits to quickly adjust the position of the camera in combination with all other accessories used, as the mattebox. The video equipment, such as HDSLR or Camcorder, can be easily controlled accessorizing this rig with the new HDSL Remote Controls, which put camera functions at your fingertips while letting you keep a firm grip on both handles. Kit comprises: Shoulder Mount, Shoulder Pad, 300mm Rods (4), Variable Plate, 160mm H-Offset, Adjustable Handles, Spacers for handles (2), Clips (2), Rod Connectors (2), Light Counterweight, Spacer for Counterweight with adaptor.
The Horizontal Offset component allows two sets of SYMPLA Rods to be joined off-centre. The most common use is connecting a side-positioned SYMPLA Shoulder Pad on short Rods with a pair of long Rods holding a Variable Plate and Mattebox that need to be directly in front of the camera operator, so that the camera viewfinder or LCD screen can be more comfortably positioned and the weight of the camera and rig more ergonomically distributed.
Machined aluminum spacers that can be easily fitted on the adjustable handles to lengthen the arms. The same spacers also adapt the handles for use with Manfrotto clamp and joystick remote control units.
SYMPLA's Camera Body Support and Lens Support help create a more stable, vibration-free platform for shooting. The body and lens supports are vertically adjustable to rest firmly against the camera body and lens to damp and eliminate vibration, and to make your whole rig more stable and secure. both supports are rubber-coated to protect camera equipment. The SYMPLA Lens Support has a rubber-coated V-profile element that can be raised until it rests solidly against the lens in order to stop it from vibrating when the lens L-bracket is being used to connect the camera to SYMPLA. A repositionable ratchet locking lever blocks height adjustment. To cover greater height ranges, an additional SYMPLA V-Offset can be used with the Lens Support.
The Vertical Offset component is made up of two Universal Mounts with a height-adjustable spacer element bewteen them. It allows two sets of SYMPLA Rods to run parallel but at different heights, useful in situations such as when wishing to use a Camera Body Support or Lens Support with a camera with a very long tele lens with a tall front lens element that creates a height difference between body, lens front and L-bracket that can't be bridged by the Body and Lens Supports alone.

The pioneering Comodo Orbit is the only rig designed to fulfil all the demands of ‘single shot cinema’ filmmaking and is perfectly suitable for use as a conventional camera stabiliser too. Single Shot Cinema is an intimate cinema-vérité film technique that enables a scene to be shot in a single take using just one camera moving fluidly around the subject - recording all the camera angles that express the film-maker’s personal perception of that moment. The camera movement itself becomes the primary cinematic expression. Orbit’s patented twin grip stabilisation allows operators to move freely with the action, finessing the camera into places hitherto impossible with other support systems - thus enabling a true Single Shot Cinema experience. The twin-grips also reduce operator fatigue inherent with single grip stabilisers and, uniquely, enable the Orbit to be smoothly and easily passed across from one operator to the next, allowing the camera to appear to ‘fly’through windows, doorways and other narrow spaces to achieve shots that previously could only have been partly replicated using cumbersome camera cranes with all their associated restrictions and time-consuming set-ups. Of course, the Comodo Orbit is perfectly suitable for use as a conventional camera stabiliser too, even if you’re not looking to shoot using the Single Shot Cinema technique.

The RC2 Mount is a lightweight solution in order to combine video equipment such as HDSLRs or light camcorders, with rail system. Thanks to its design, it is possible to adjust the operating height of the camera in two different positions, depending on the size of the body and the dimension of the lens. The RC2 quick release plate allows fast and secure connection between the camera and the rig.
The SYMPLA 80mm Horizontal Offset component allows two sets of SYMPLA Rods to be joined off-centre. The most common use is connecting the SYMPLA padded shoulder mount on short rods with a pair of long rods holding a RC2 Mount so that the camera viewfinder or LCD screen can be more comfortably positioned and the weight of the camera and rig more rgonomically distributed.
