Why does it look
different? The new ECO
Halostar modelling lamp
has the same light output
as the old 250W Halostar
but has a lower power
draw, making it more
energy efficient. *The
BW-1024 Halostar
Modelling Lamp is the
correct modelling lamp
for all 230v Gemini,
Gemini R, Gemini R,
Gemini Classic, and
Gemini Pro units up to
and including the current
Gemini 750Pro units. Most
earlier Bowens units
including the Esprits up
to 500ws also use this
lamp (although the
BW-7500 Esprit Digital
750Pro takes a BW-2503
650w lamp). For
information over time we
have changed suppliers of
this lamp seeking to
enhance the modelling
lamp life. Currently most
230v products are being
packed with the Osram
Halogen Eco lamps which
state an output of 205w.
These lamps have a clear
glass finish, our tests
have indicated this lamp
has an equivalent output
to 250w noted on similar
models with a frosted
finish. The BW-1024/B
Modelling Lamp for 117v
markets only remains
unchanged using the
frosted finish and 250w
Where possible we suggest
you minimize handling of
modelling lamps
especially when they are
hot and switch off when
not needed.
