Overview
The adorable brown bear in blue coat and red hat remains an icon for many of us since the books and animations thrilled us years ago, and now his tale has been brought to life on the big screen. This walking tour offers a chance for two adults to explore the locations used for filming, including Mr Gruber’s antiques shop and the inspiration for Windsor Gardens house where the Browns live, and to find out more about how the incredible films were made. You’ll also see the fascinating Portobello Market, and see the statue of Paddington at the station where he was found – and you can treat yourselves to a little gift at the Paddington shop, which is chock full of cute bear goodies.

A good day out

We were given this as a present to share with our grandson who loves Paddington but is only 2. We rang and asked if it was suitable for a child of 2 and were told it was.
We don’t think it was but it was very good for older people. Even with a pushchair it was difficult to keep up with the group and we had a few flights of stairs and a very full bus to negotiate.
Having said that Fiona the guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and she helped us with the buggy and bag on stairs and bus.
You definitely need to have seen the films and be interested in the technical side but it is worth doing.

A bear called Paddington

This was brought as gift from my 7 year old son, who is a huge Paddington fan. The trip was very informative not only about Paddington but a few other London Icons. It was great to learn some much about Micheal Bond and how he come to meet a bear called Paddington. You receive a 10% discount in the Paddington shop and a small bus trip to 'Mr Grubers' anqiues is definately worth it.

I was given the Paddington tour as a birthday present and I took my mum. We both thoroughly enjoyed it and the tour guide Alex was really great. He was very considerate of the group and really enthusiastic, he really knew what he was talking about.

My family had a great time on the walking tour. It was 2 and a half hours long so quite tiring at the end of it but we had a great time. Our tour guide Fiona was bubbly and get the energy up throughout the tour. We visited parts of London that I'd never been to before e.g. areas around Paddington, Little Venice and Portobello Market. People on the tour were able to carry a Paddington bear teddy which was a lovely touch.

Enjoyable Tour

My son and I really enjoyed the Paddington Bear Tour. Really informative and good fun. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered lots of our questions. Lots of walking involved which was fine for us but perhaps not so good if you are less mobile. The only problem was the bus ride to take us to Portobello Road. We had to wait such a long time for the bus to arrive so this meant the tour took much longer than expected. We would recommend it though.

A nice walking tour

My boyfriend and I went on the walking tour this weekend and it was really nice, very light hearted, and sweet.
I would say that it was aimed at a young audience, we are 24 and 25 and there were lots of families with young children, understandably, but it was still a nice tour. The tour guide Val was really friendly too.

Chris, the guide was very personable, knowledgeable and made the tour very enjoyable.
However, it would have been useful to note discount available for purchases made in the Paddington Shop prior to the start of the tour. Suggest this is added to your Booking Confirmations.
We felt the tour a little rushed at times which also left some more senior and children trailing behind.

Was treated to this tour by a friend. As much as i like Paddington Bear and the stories, i felt i was going to look out of place with all the younger people on board. I should not have worried. Dewi the guide made you feel more than welcome and everyone on board were very friendly and, of course, Paddington Bear fans. Dewi gave us lots of interesting facts about Paddington as we travelled around London and visited most of the locations featured in the film. Everything worked like clockwork. What a lovely experience. Thank you.

Went on the Paddington tour with my daughter. It was great to see the lovely locations of where the Paddington film was produced. It was great to look around Mr Gruber's shop and see Portabello market.
