Extended Flying Lesson for One 1042454

I had a really amazing time at the Shoreham location. The instructor (Andy) was fantastic and we flew over our home which was great! Will definitely be going back there for more lessons!

Brilliant flight with opportunity to take controls once airborne. Stunning views over north Devon coast and very knowledgable pilot giving lots of info on local area while also teaching me all about the aircraft. Excellent pilot who was very calm & instilled confidence in me from the beginning - felt in very safe hands.

On the day: Nice friendly instructor. I was involved from the start, steering while taxi-ing, operating the throttle during take-off. After that, from a few metres above ground on take-off, to a few metres before touchdown I flew the aircraft under the guidance of the instructor. His method of introducing manoeuvres into the flight was by getting me to position the aircraft so that he could point out local features of interest. His knowledge of the stunningly beautiful North Devon coast, towns and villages and countryside is encyclopaedic and definitely provided an added dimension to the experience. I had never sat in the cockpit of an aircraft before, but within minutes I felt comfortable with the controls. The pilot and co-pilot seats are side-by-side and the controls are dualled so there is no fear of making any ghastly errors! A little constructive criticism: Telephone conversations during the booking process felt a little brusque and tended not to make one feel like a "valued customer" but please don't be put off. On the day you will be made to feel very welcome and the instruction is informal, informative and friendly. Thank you Eaglescott for a brilliant experience. Incidentally, I found the postcode took me easily (by satnav) to the point where the radar site is visible ( a prominent landmark) so if you get there you will be only a few hundred metres from the airfield entrance. There are several ways to approach and signage in some places is quite small. On my first visit the sign I needed was obscured by long grass, however a quick phone call soon put me right.

It was purchased as a present for my boyfriend and he absolutely loved it. He was given control for nearly the whole flight and even landed it which he was really pleased about. The pilot was really friendly and helpful in organising the flight too.

I was a bit nervous before my flying lesson but my instructor was very good and made me relax before we took to the skies! He explained everything really well and I felt very safe throughout. Being up in the air was amazing spectacular views and actually flying the plane myself was such an adrenaline rush!
