Cool, fresh & clean as a Nordic forest, our green birch stem exemplifies the minimalist adage that less is more. Elegant in a slim, single stem vase or used to add texture & form to larger arrangements, it shows how understatements
- even when softly spoken
- can have dramatic effects.

Early-flowering hellebores are ideal if you want your displays to have a natural, in keeping with the season look. & although hellebores growing in a nest may be unusual, these h&-made flowers are so realistic, no one is going to imagine they aren't 100% organic. Unless of course they touch them. You see, many natural hellebores have sap that can cause quite severe skin irritation. Bloom hellebores definitely haven't. Lovely to look at, lovely to touch, lovely to own
- our hellebores are almost as nature intended
- just a little bit more user-friendly.

Inspired by Puccini's most famous work, our Madame Butterfly orchid is a 'must-have' for all romantics. The opera itself is a story of ill-starred lovers
- an American sailor & a geisha. Written in 1900, it highlights the insurmountable cultural & social difference that divided East & West. & like the original Madame Butterfly our orchid has a sense of excitement, drama & passion. But the moment you unpack it you'll know that unlike the opera, this is a story with a happy ending.

Ikebana Orchid Arrangement

It's lovely, isn't it - our ikebana arrangement. But there's more to this exquisite form of flower arranging than immediately meets the eye. Ikebana - meaning 'way of the gods' in Japanese - is inextricably linked to Shinto - an off-shoot of Buddhism - which was brought to Japan more than seventeen centuries ago. One of the central tenets of Shinto is kami - sacred energy that radiates (from amongst other things) mountains, rivers, trees and flowers. Channelling kami and creating a harmonious balance is believed to be beneficial to both people and animals. This is something ikebana aims to achieve. Formal - like so many aspects of Japanese life - but never rigid, ikebana is an enchanting blend of beauty and serenity. As you'd expect, learning (let alone mastering) the art takes many
years, so our ikebana arrangement is a time-saver as well as a mood enhancer! Presented in a lacquered oriental-style planter for your lasting pleasure and enjoyment.
