In an 18th century European city besieged by the Turkish army, a theatrical performance of " The Adventures of Baron Munchausen" is interrupted by an old man (John Neville) who claims to be the Baron himself. No one believes him except 10-year-old Sally (Sarah Polley), who joins him on a quest to prove his claims & save the city from the Turks. Now they must find the Baron's four closest friends: Albrecht (Winston Dennis), the strongest man on Earth; Berthold (Eric Idle), the fastest man alive; Adolphus (Charles Mc Keown), who can see farther than a telescope; & Gustavus (Jack Purvis), who can blow harder than a hurricane.
