The Raleigh RX Comp cyclocross bike is equipped with SRAM Apex, Avid BB7 disc brakes & Raleighs carbon Cross fork. Theres a new breed of Cyclocross bikes entering the UK market now that offer more than a specialist cyclocross bike. These modern versions are good for almost any sort of riding compared to purist cylocross bikes designed for cross country racing. These bikes are very versatile & have grown to be very popular, especially with commuters. A lightweight Raleigh RX-C aluminium frame with PF30 bottom bracket & carbon fork with post mounts is built for UK conditions with features like the RXO chain stays that maximise clearance by removing the bridge, ovalising the stays & rack & mudguard eyelets. Smooth shifting is provided by Sram Apex 20 speed shifters & mechs with Sram S350 46/36T chainset. With smaller chainrings than a standard sports road bikes it helps making these perfectly suited to normal riders riding normal terrain at normal speeds. Cables are routed across the top tube with the rear disc brake being fully covered. Avid BB7 mechancial disc brakes with 160mm rotors do the stopping. RSP CX2.0 disc specific wheelset is fitted with Schwalbe’s Racing Ralph 700 x 32C premium cross tyres so are ideal for woody trails, hard pack & muddy runs. Just turn up on the start line & go! Finishing kit is a Selle Royal Seta S1 saddle, RSP Compact bar, RSP stem & shock proof, anti slip bar tape. The Raleigh RX Comp is an ideal commuter bike, adventure tourer or gravel road / XC racer.
