Introduced in 2002, this still uncommon Centaurea (Mountain Cornflower) is a real delight to behold. Easy to grow & perfectly hardy, benefiting from well-drained, fertile soil & a sunny spot.
Striking flower colour contrast from the amethyst-violet stamens & flower centre & the white filament-like petals. Flowers are held aloft grey-green foliage that frames them well.
