Product Description

When Ginger changed the words of the Wildhearts 29x The Pain from " Miss You Kurt Cobain" to " Where Are You Hiding Richey James" it seemed to be the most poignant of tributes. While so many indie kids & Britpopers latched onto Richey's legend in their usual manner befitting an (inappropriate) death cult; it was as an early 90s rock n roll band that the Richey era Manics will be remembered best. Out there working the clubs with the likes of the Wildhearts made Richey a hero for real fans. I can remember the first time I saw Richey & The Manic Street Preachers like it was yesterday; & thinking then; just as I do now; what a sensational album Generation Terrorists is.
