If you haven't experienced it before, you won't be disappointed with the results. Your latex rubber clothing will last for years if looked after correctly. Please see our care of rubber instructions for more details. All rubber items are supplied unpolished & dusted (with talc) to preserve the material to the highest standards. To get the high gloss finish you see in our pictures you will need to shine the latex rubber with a spray or polish using silicone spray or liquid polish. You may find it easier to get into your latex rubber clothing with a dressing lube which will help you easily slide in. Latex Rubber Care Information When putting rubber on, liberally apply talc or a silicon based lubricant to the inside of the garment, this will prevent the rubber from gripping your skin. Applying a small amount of lubricant will help you slide into your rubber clothing with ease & will not harm your rubber clothing. Carefully pull on the garment taking care not to pierce the rubber with sharp jewellery or long nails. Polish your Latex Rubber clothing with a lint free cloth, chamois leather or something similar using liquid silicone. For a speedy, high gloss finish you can use silicone spray which is easy & dramatic. After wearing your rubber garment it can be hand washed in luke warm soapy water, avoid using detergents or abrasive cleaning fluids or powders. A a little household washing up liquid or soap will be fine. Rinse repeatedly until all soap has gone, then hang to dry. Do not try to speed up the drying procedure in the microwave or on a radiator or with a hair dryer or any other similar heating appliance, this will damage your rubber garments. When completely dry, thoroughly talc the inside of the garment & then hang on a cushioned hanger & store. Store rubber clothes away from heat, direct sunlight, UV light, salt water, chlorine, & 'waxed' clothing. Heat & strong light will make the rubber discoloured & dull, & can cause seams to weaken. Ideally, cover the garment in dark plastic (a bin bag is perfect) & hang in a cool dark place. Do not store under anything heavy. Regularly polishing keeps your garments conditioned, supple & ready to wear. Properly cared for as above, your rubber clothing should maintain its shape, quality, & allure for years. We cannot be responsible for damage to your rubber if these instructions are not followed. Latex Rubber Allergy Information Honour's rubber clothing is cut from latex sheeting, made from natural rubber latex (NRL), which is a vital ingredient found in thousands of every day products & healthcare items. It can be found in items such as balloons, clothing elastic, adhesive tape, condoms, surgical gloves, elasticated bandages & many, many more. However, the natural proteins found in NRL can cause some people to have an allergic reaction. If you are allergic to this protein, you may have experienced reactions to kiwi fruit, avocado, banana, chestnut, potato, tomato, cherry, peach, & some other plant foods. It is the body's immune system which reacts to proteins found in NRL, specific antibodies called Ig E are hypersensitive to the protein. Ig E- mediated reactions are the cause of this allergy, customers with this allergy are advised to avoid rubber sheeting/clothing. It is therefore the customers responsibility to ensure they do not have this allergy before purchasing goods within this category. If you experience any itching, redness or swelling upon contact, remove immediately. Please consult your doctor or physician for more information.
