Print (This is not meant to be depressing! For me it evokes those memories of going down to the beach to be confronted with rain & disappointment, yet the moment of solace when someone has an idea of getting some chips, which are shared in the car, with the smell of vinegar & the quiet conversations that follow in a car by the sea. The car was my greatly missed old Nissan Figaro, & the head in the rear-view mirror my then girlfriend (now wife) Emma. I really enjoy painting rain on glass & observing the way it distorts the background. It was painted in oils with a palette knife.) 90 × 69 cm (unframed) / 82 × 61 cm (actual image size)
