This course is aimed at the complete beginner to those with some understanding of digital photography. Even if you are using some of the manual controls on your camera but don't fully understand the practicality of the manual controls
- this course will suit you. The first day will include several workshops in aperture, shutter speed, ISO, white balance & exposure control. It will also include the rules of compensation & how you can apply compensation creatively to drastically improve your photography. You’ll learn how to create depths of field & how to produce a sense of movement to capture the action. The second day will be a re-cap & expanse of the first day. We’ll take you out to a nearby location, where you’ll take part in a detailed photo-shoot. You will be given a set brief with specific tasks that you’ll have learnt from the previous day’s session. You will have the course trainer with you but you’ll be rolling your sleeves up & getting ‘creative’ by putting into practice everything you have learnt. These workshops are designed for you to get the most out of your camera both practically & creatively. By spending two days with professional instructors, they will help you develop your practical & creative skills. You won't be overloaded with jargon or rules as there are no rules to photography! By the end of the workshop you are guaranteed to feel confident & imaginative enough to produce amazing photographs. To make the most of your experience, the instructors will be at hand to answer any questions you may have weeks or even months after your course. Both days starts at 9.30am & finish around 4.30pm
- we always hang around later than that to answer specific questions or to run through additional topics, depending on how hungry you are for more knowledge! We don’t like too much theory & whilst you will learn the important lessons of how the camera works, we’ll also get you out there using your camera & taking photographs.

RYA qualifications are known & respected the world over. This is an introduction level where there is no need for any experience just a love for the water.
