Enjoy a thrilling 40-second ride sliding down the corkscrew streel structure of the Arcelor Mittal Orbit, also known as the world’s tallest & longest tunnel slide. The Arcelor Mittal Orbit is Britain’s largest sculpture & is a prominent feature of the East London skyline. Created by Anish Kapoor & Cecil Balmond, the sculpture was originally part of the Olympic legacy which transformed East London alongside the Olympic games in 2012. The obscure sculpture has become a landmark in its own right, attracting & delighting visitors in droves with its unique panoramic views over the city of London. Made up with 35, 000 bolts & enough steel to build 265 double-decker buses, this looping structure offers extraordinary 20-mile views over the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park & East London. You & a friend will climb the 455 stairs to the summit of the structure, where you’ll both be greeted by a platform of concave mirrors & innovative touchscreens in addition to the breathtaking views spread around you. Then it’s time to fuel your adventurous side & feel the adrenaline as you rapidly descending to the bottom via the longest & tallest tunnel slide in the world. As visitors descend the 178 meter long slide, they will pass through light & dark sections with London’s dramatic skyscape whizzing past in a blur. The descent from the top of the structure lasts 40-seconds & you will circle around the Arcelor Mittal Orbit 12 times in total, ending with a 50 meter straight run to ground level. You are not allowed to slide if you have a heart condition, back or neck injuries, claustrophobia, vertigo, if you are pregnant or if you have any condition that prevents you from following all of the safety rules & guidelines.
