There’s no need to travel as far as Spain for tasty Tapas
- the River Dart provides the perfect place for a meal meant for sharing. Tucked away in the cosy dining area of a beautifully-appointed boat, guests can enjoy traditional Spanish fare given a deliciously Devonian twist as the river carries them along. The boat is a 1960s Berry Brothers launch which is decked out in oak & iroko & named ‘ The Elberry’ after a picturesque cove on the south Devon coast. The boat provides an ideal spot from which guests can watch the world go by, admiring the incredible scenery & enjoying the sensation of being on the water. This experience is perfect for foodies who love the strong tastes & flavour combinations that are associated with tapas. The chef, Sarah, has earned an excellent reputation amongst local foodies as someone whose passion for the local area has driven her to create delicious dishes from the very freshest ingredients, incorporating the local seafood into her menus wherever possible. The skipper, Callum, is also a keen ocean enthusiast whose experience as a divemaster gives him a unique insight into what the local area has to offer which he is happy to share with guests. The tapas will feature a range of traditional elements including manchego cheese, crevettes with aioli, serrano ham, melon, anchovies, chorizo & olives, all accompanied with freshly tossed salads & specially crafted breads. Combined with the soothing sounds of water lapping at the sides of the boat & the wealth of local knowledge the skipper has to share, this is a meal with something for all the senses.
