On this unique experience, you will get up close & personal with llamas & enjoy a Devonshire cream tea on the Jurassic Coast. Llamas are unique animals, they're easy to train, they can be very sociable & protective of their herd. You will get to learn their fascinating history, how to handle them & understand their behaviour towards humans & other llamas. Llamas are friendly, gentle & intelligent animals & make ideal walking companions. If you love animals, the llama is definitely one you should meet. Based on East Devon’s spectacular Jurassic Coast, just outside the Regency seaside town of Sidmouth, the venue is ideally situated to take full advantage of the stunning scenery on this beautiful stretch of coastline. Your experience will start with a meet & greet with the llamas. You will receive a demonstration about llamas, their characteristics as well as handling & grooming techniques. Next you will groom the llamas with brushes, if the weather is nice you can then have some time in the paddock with the llamas. If the weather is not in favour you can do some indoor clicker training with the llamas. Upon finishing this it is then time to help feed the llamas. You will then receive your Devonshire cream tea at the Llama Lookout Gazebo, with a delicious scone each from the local bakery, jam & Devon clotted cream. You can choose from a hot or cold beverage. In the winter, you will have the tea in the hay barn next to the indoor llama area.
