If you’re in need of a gift for a mini Doctor Doolittle then look no further than a junior keeper experience at Ark Wildlife Park. Home to a skunk, micro pigs, foxes, llamas, chinchillas & many other scaly, fuzzy & furry friends, Ark Wildlife Park is the perfect place to experience what really goes on during a zoo keeper’s busy morning routine. The lucky teen between 12 & 16 years of age will enjoy a sneak peek behind the scenes & assist keepers with their daily tasks, including potentially feeding the meerkats, animal grooming & encounters with the rest of the friendly Ark family. Upon arrival at Ark Wildlife Park, the junior keeper in training will be asked to fill out a health & safety form before assisting keepers with their daily routine at 11am. Throughout the morning the junior keeper can expect to meet the mischievous meerkats, help with the grooming of the animals & learn about some of the fascinating species on-site while making plenty of new friends along the way. Once they’ve built up an appetite the junior keeper will also receive a light lunch such as a sandwich or bap, as well as a soft drink. Following their morning of getting stuck in, they can spend the afternoon wandering the park with a companion & enjoying all there is to see & do.
