It is designed for almost all 2.5 inch SATA or IDE interfaced hard disks as found in laptops or desktop computers using Windows, Mac & many other systems.
Being the older IDE interface & the newer SATA interface compatible means you are assured hard disk (HDU) & SSD (solid state disk) compliance, now & into the future. A tooling & carry pouch is also supplied.
Conveniently, the USB (Universal Serial Bus)-HD2.5SI is self-powered by the supplied USB2.0 data cable
- so there's no messy power cables needed. The aluminium housing is only slightly larger than your hard disk, so you can fit it in your pocket.
Ideal for all operating systems, it's a great storage device for movies, digital music, photo’s & much more besides with the added benefit of compliance with integral & third-party backup apps such as Time Machine.
